Abstract submission

We invite you to submit an abstract for either a paper or a poster presentation on any aspect of colour vision. Topics of interest are listed below, but are not restricted to, any of the following:

  • Acquired loss of colour vision in diseases of the retina
  • Central processing of colour signals
  • Colour in occupational environments
  • Colour induction and constancy
  • Colour cognition
  • Colour in the mesopic range
  • Colour vision assessment
  • Congenital colour vision deficiencies
  • Clinical aspects of colour vision
  • Ecology of colour vision
  • Effects of ageing on colour vision
  • Functional imaging and colour vision
  • Genetics of colour vision
  • Isolation of chromatic mechanisms
  • Object-surface properties, material perception, and related topics
  • Peripheral chromatic sensitivity
  • Physiology of colour vision
  • Unique hues
  • Variability in colour vision

We propose to hold the following topical sessions. You will have an opportunity to request inclusion on the abstract submission site.

ICVS Membership

It is a condition of abstract acceptance that the presenting (first) author is a current member of ICVS by the start of the meeting.

Student Travel Award

ICVS will award a number of travel grants for student members of ICVS to attend the Symposium and present a talk or a poster. To be eligible, student must be first author on a submitted presentation, must not have received more than one prior ICVS student travel award, must provide the additional information requested at time of abstract submission, must be eligible for student membership in ICVS, and must complete ICVS student membership prior to the Symposium.

Submission guidelines

Only one abstract may be submitted as first (presenting) author, while there is no limit for co-authorships.

The maximum length of abstracts is 500 words. References are allowed.

During the submission process, you will be required to indicate the area of your abstract from a list of topics.

Students Travel Award application should be made via EasyChair system during the abstract submission process.
